CS42518 Overview
The CS42518 audio codec family provides two audio analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and eight digital-to-analog converters (DACs) Delta Sigma converters, as well as an integrated S/PDIF receiver. The CS42518/28 family’s integrated S/PDIF receiver supports up to eight inputs, clock recovery circuitry and format autodetection. The internal stereo A/D converter is capable of independent channel gain control for single-ended or differential analog inputs. All eight channels of D/A converter provide digital volume control and differential analog outputs. The CS42518 and CS42528 are ideal for audio systems requiring wide dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise, such as audio/video receivers, DVD receivers and digital speakers.

CS42518/16 Codec Evaluation Board (CDB42518)
The CDB42518 demonstration board is an excellent means for evaluating the CS42518/16 family of highly integrated multi-channel CODEC-S/PDIF receivers, with analog/digital audio interfaces and Windows-based software configuration via the PC parallel port.
CS42516/18/26/28 Codec and DSP Reference Design (CRD42528)
The CRD42528 is a reference design for the Cirrus Logic CS42516, CS42518, CS42526 and CS42528 codecs with the CS49300 DSP family. It supports up to 8 channels of analog I/O at 48/96 kHz, S/PDIF digital I/O, and onboard SRAM and flash.
